what is there to say? i'm practically perfect in every way (ha! as if!)

i hope to one day make it into either the film or theatre world, i'm not sure which yet. i don't want to act, but i love directing and helping in auditions and making sure everything's going okay backstage, so maybe i'll go stage managering or something (if that's even a real word!)

Alternatively, i really love writing, but i find that after i have the ideas, i can't actually make myself sit down and write, which is why i set up this page!

Next year i'm going to study Ancient History at university, although i'm not sure where yet as i'm still waiting to find out if i ot into my first choice.

Stories!

greeting all!!

the person i've been talking to about my stories has unfortunately had to pull out, so i'm still looking for a writing partner!

so, here are some stories ideas that i have lying around that i'm gonna post so you can get some ideas. i'll tell you a bit about the background to each as we go. most are fantasy, and are multi-chaptered, others are non-fantasy and multi-chaptered, and others are random shorts, although there aren't many of those. i have more detailed notes on every one of these stories which i will send you if you'd like. Here goes: (not that most of the titles are not actual titles but just what i call them in my mind)

one of my first real stories - Adreeana: a Tamora Pierce-stlye story about a girl who finds out she has magical ability in a medieval-type world. also a planned follow-up about Cassie. this story has been re-written over and over (although only in note form) and i can send all notes to anyone interested. bear in mind that i had the original idea when i was about 12

Dinosaurs - this was a rather random piece i came up with while on holiday in France. sort of inspired by the film Reign of Fire, but not really. my notes on this read like the beginning of a film script, which it is, given that i often think in terms of film rather than written prose. However i don't really think that's a problem. there is no overall story for this, just a beginning and a kind-of 'film still'.

An untitled story about a girl who becomes the leader of an underground resistance in a medieval world. i have written the first fourteen and a bit chapters for this story, but its taken over a year and i've gotten nowhere in the story, so it really needs work doing to it. Having said that, i think is one of the more promising of my stories.

A story about a resistance group in a small village in France during WW2 - and that's almost all i know about this story! i do think some American soldiers will make an appearance, and start a love affair between a soldier and a French girl (there is a love story in almost every one of my stories  i can't help it, i'm in love with love!)

A story about a young boy who is locked in a windowless room. His name is Andrew, and i played with the letters in his name to think up a discription:Anonymous/ Antisocial, Neglected, Devastated/ Despondent/ Dysfunctional/ Disconcerting/ Dangerous, Respective/ Ridiculed, Enveloped/ Enclosed, Wintered/ Weathered/ Wealthy/ Whispered. Some of these are pretty random and none of firm in the story (although the words in purple were my preferred ones), as there isn't actually any story other than what can be formed from these words. I wanted to add 'Genetically engineered' somehow, but i'm not sure.

A story about a woman who led her people to freedom from an oppressor and then left the city once it was overtaken by greedy bureaucrats, only to be brought back years later when they face another threat. she has to deal with her ex-lover, and the woman who replaced her both in his affections and in ruling the city. this story has been retconned many times, so there are several versions for you to chose from - i have all the notes. The freedom war occured pre-story, but is mentioned a lot, and possibly flashed-back to several times, i'm not sure. i've been working on this for a couple of years and its one of my favourite stories.

a story about a n anti-rasicm team. the story starts with the funeral of one of the officers and flashes back to events during his life revolving around the team and his personal relationship with one of his teammates (there's that love again!), including his death. not very planned out as this isn't usual type of story at all, but i think a skillful writer (ie not me!) could do a lot with what a do have.  this is written sort-of as a film script, but not completely, and i do like this story.

a silly little story comparing the fictional snow white and a real girl living in Ireland in the 2000s. no deep story here, but i think it could be quite funny.

a story inspired by the book The Jackal of Nar, although i don't think it's really that similar. it might need a little changing though so that it's not plagerism! i guess this is almost fanfiction for the book, but not really. yeah, this doesn't really make much sense. basically a story about a man who betrays his country as he realises that the enemy is the better country with better values, and the loyalty of the woman he loves.

Avril - a lady-in-waiting to a medieval princess (in a fictional world) falls in love with the King's champion to the fury of the King's daughter. However Avril has secrets, as is working to stop a war between the King and a neighbouring country, which she has important links to, some unknown even to her. another of my favourite stories.

Caledonia - set in a universe in which two factions are vying for rule. a girl was brought up on a planet in which the 'good side' are losing, thier presence their relegated to an underground resistance which her parents had ran before their death. She left after her fiance (the new leader of the resistance) betrayed her with someone else. However circumstances have brought her back and she helps to lead the resistance while dealing with her feelings for him. Add in some battles and her new boyfriend, and you have a story! a like this, though i'm dubious if it will work as a real story and not just something in my head.

Ashana and Colen live on different sides of a mountain range.  Ashana's people do not know of Colen's side of the mountains, but Colen's people know of Ashana's and use a secret passage to enter their side. Ashana gets onto Colen's side and the emperor uses ehr to find out about the village and beyond, sincve he wants to expand his empire. He attacks the village and everyone there, and Asana and Colen escape to try and warn the rest of her world. I quite like this as it ends with all Ashana's friends and family dead and we have no idea if they manage to warn others or if they're laughed off and the Emperor takes over. Set in a time similar to that of 'The Wind Singer' by William Nicholson

a story about a royal hostage who ends up marrying her royal captor (is that a real word? have i spelt it right?). they're not quite in love, but are drawn to each other. things get complicated when she discovers he has a son by his ex-lover, and then when she ets kidnapped, and then - well, i never finished the story. i suck.

story about a political detainee who convinces a visitor to the prison that she is falsely accused and should be rescued (this is true). they overthrow the dictator and live happily ever after.

The Stone Circlet - another of my favourites in which the heir to the throne is cheated by his cousin (another of my favourites, retconned a couple of times). having left ten years before, he comes back and finds everyone has given up on him, but determines to get his throne back. he is helped by the woman who is his 'soul mate' (ancient custom)

An Arthur-type story with sequel. no Guinevire (sp?) / Lancelot betrayal though. battle, love, etc

yet another rebellion story (i'm rather fond of these!) a soldier becomes a general and his lover follows after him a few years later. unusually, the rebellion fails and the rebel queen, the general and his now wife are holed up in a small church. also highly unusual, the general dies (when i just reread this in my notes i was shocked that i'd done it!) but do not panic - there is a sequel! the queen and the general's pregnant wife had escaped, and years later a boy from the general and his wife's village decides to look for the wife (Niobe). he finds her lecturing in a university about freedom and democracy (this is obviously not in the country of the first book but a neighbouring one as the original is still under dictatorship). Niobe's daughter leads him to the queen who has an army and together they win this time! i like this story.

war between countries - girl goes undercover and her old friends think she's betrayed them, but she meets her lover on a mission and lets him go, trying to persuade him she's really on his side (which she is). win the war and the girl.

a jane-austen type story. a couple marry secretly, and deal with him going to war, a secret pregnancy and what they should do. better than it sounds. bizarrely, jane austen stuff is my great love next to fantasy. odd mix, huh?

a story set in the english civil war about a girl in a country village who falls in love with a soldier against her father's wishes. his side takes over (the village is neutral), then someone lets in the other side. the girl's father (mayor) is killed, she and the soldier escape to another neutral village. again, better than it sounds. i actually have a small segment at the beginning written of this, although it was a couple of years ago so its not great.

a princess runs away, is captured by the enemy who turns out to be a good guy and falls in love with him. they all live happily ever after. yeah, poor summary i know.

so, that is a few of my stories (oh yes, there are plenty more!) some are in a better state than others, but hopefully this gives you an idea of whether you're interested in a partnership. as ever, let me know at fairyfiredust@hotmail.co.uk if you're interested and i can send you more detailed notes of whatever stories you want. tell me if you're interested in something else and i'll see if i have anything fitting that. i have two really, really, detailed stories which i'm willing to release if someone really impresses me in how they write other stuff, but i'm saving them for a while as they are truly me babies and i want them done really really well.

Also tell me if you're interested in fanfiction. i have a couple of Veronica Mars ideas and some Star Wars stuff, as well as a pretty detailed Star Treck idea, plus others, so let me know if you're a fan of anything.

wow i've been doing this for like two hours! looking forward to your emails!!!

first entry!!!

welcome to my new site!!!

still in progress but hopefully getting better soon!!!

ok, so i set this page up so that people could see my stories and read them and find links etc. please bear in mind that it will take a while to get anything up here as i still have a lot of work to do in finding a co author.

in case you don't already know, i am an avid writer with just one problem - i don't actually write. if i'm thinking in my head then i'm fine. i can get conversation, plot ideas, settings... the problem comes when i try to write it all down. though i'm fine in note for, i get easily distracted when actually trying to write in story form. so here's my new idea:

i'm looking for someone who is willing to take the plot ideas i have and develop them into proper stories. i will send that person all the notes i have on the story and suggest ideas i have for where it was going or what i think should happen. should they want to take the story in a different direction, then that is negotiable. i want credit for the ideas. i also ask that the stories be set up under my name on websites. this is only so that if someone wants to read something else written by us, it is clear what stories are joint effort and what stories are just yours. i have no ideas completely my own nor any plans to get any. i don't have any problem with you advertising the fact that you wrote the stories or advertising other stories of your own, as long as its clear what i'm involved with and what i'm not.

i'm gonna repeat this appeal at a couple of other websites, for instance in some reviews on fictionpress.com and possibly fanfiction (though i don't write much fanfiction, only a little bit).

i hope i don't seem too demanding. if you're interested, let me send me an email at fairyfiredust@hotmail.co.uk or leave a message for me here. the email address is totally devoted to replies to this request, so i'll know what messages are about.

many thanks and hoping for emails soon,

firedust
